Dephect - Fall '11 Collaborations

What you see here is the latest collection of product collaborations from Matt Drane and Paul Kemp of Dephect.
We have been following the work of UK based Dephect for a while now and have seen consistency and development from the brand as of day one. With their contacts within the graffiti and illustration realms we are used to seeing some
tidy collaborations with a number of artists, together with Vimeo updates of the work of resident artist and joint owner Paul Kemp (aka Keshone) and team riders including Matti Hemmings to name a few.
Artist collaborations for Fall include those with Mergs, Nychos, Gary Milne, and of course Keshone. What we receive is a pretty diverse range of designs, from typography and traditional graffiti inspired designs through to character design and illustration.
Mergs, is an illustrator with a range of styles in his arsenal, whether it be bold black and white brush strokes or colourful, intricate and layered details, you will
always see at any piece's core a love and passion for creating a visual feast!
Nychos spent his youth obsessing over comic book and cartoon illustration, this led to a career in graphic design, then a move onto street art and graffiti and the formation of his artist label Rabbit Eye Movement. He accounts this to the biggest influence on his work as an artist today.
Keshone first had his graffiti fire ignited at the age of 14 when he noticed a group of guys in the year above him were really into the scene, he got involved and immediately became hooked. This interest led Paul to begin exploring various other media and developing himself as a graphic designer and
illustrator.
Then you have Gary Milne, a skateboarder inspired by it's surrounding visual culture who through his upbringing was introduced to a variety of visual approaches and styles from within the skate/graffiti world. He has undertaken numerous commercial illustration projects alongside Nike, Fabric London, Channel 4 and obviously Dephect. In Gary's own words he owes his creative interests to "skateboarding and daydreaming".
I really enjoy seeing what Dephect is going to produce and with whom they will collaborate from season to season, the whole collection is currently available here.
