GoPro - HD HERO 2

GoPro have made waves in the amateur film world since their inception in 2004, but with this latest release it's clear that they are the go-to brand in the market.

GoPro founder Nick Woodman realised the demand for such a camera when he attended an Australian surf competition in 2002. He wanted to get some shots of the competition, but was unable to get the angles he wanted because the amateur cameras he was using at the time were too big or too far from the action. Nick questioned why amateur filmmakers were not being catered to and two years later, GoPro sold their first 35mm camera.

They continue to pioneer compact and durable amateur cameras for adventurous individuals who demand all of the qualities of a professional camera set up in a small package.

The latest offering from GoPro is the HD HERO 2, and it is the most advanced GoPro yet.

GoPro had this to say about their latest product - "To celebrate it's release, we traveled the world with some of our favorite athletes, adventurers, and filmmakers to see what we could capture and create with the HD HERO2. We hope this film inspires you to get out and do the same."

The commercial below was shot 100% on HD HERO 2 cameras, and the result is astounding. It's clear that the this new camera delivers. It's versatility and quality is unquestionable, and it truly allows amateur photographers to create on a professional level.

Myself and two friends are planning a motorcycle adventure through Switzerland, and I will definitely be picking up one of these for the journey.
