Mishka Founders on the "How To Make it in America" Collab

Mishka have just undertaken a somewhat unusual collaboration with HBO's comedy series "How To Make It In America" on a drop consisting of 3 pretty dope options.

The series follows two twenty somethings, Ben Epstein and his friend and business partner Cam Calderon, as they try to make it in New York's cut throat fashion scene.

The release consists of a tee, baseball tee and a pullover hoodie all feature the same design work, Mishka's iconic horned cyclops 'Sign of the Skull' emblazoned with the stars and stripes sat over a dollar sign. This design work is a big move for the brand, who also feature in a HBO produced short discussing their heritage.

Explaining the collaboration, Creative director and co-owner of Mishka, Mikhail Bortnik, says;

"Besides getting our name and mugs on TV this is all pretty friggin’ cool considering the show’s plot line basically runs in sync to Greg’s and my own frustration, struggles and adventures in getting Мишка off the ground. For the bumper,  the show came to our headquarters and did a short interview segment with Greg, our art director Mike Jones and Myself about the early days of the brand and our inspiration to get it started."

The capsule looks sick and after hearing the reasoning behind the collab it's pretty clear why it's been undertaken. If you want to get your hands on the garms then you'll need to act pretty quickly as it's only on a three day release as of today from Jack Threads.
