Shoes-Up x Asics - Retro Rocket “Sac de Billes”

I find it refreshing to find a sneaker that holds its own with a clean colourway and simple aesthetic. This collaboration from French sneaker magazine Shoes Up and Asics is one of these gems.

Entitled Sac de Billes (Bag of Marbles) the understated look of the shoes is something which ironically grabbed my attention. The full suede upper is dressed in various shades of grey through the body with a contrasting teal heel section. The white midsole of the shoe is sandwiched between the suede upper and a gum outsole. The Retro Rocket was once a standard school issue shoe in Japan, where a variety of colours would determine grade and the student's name would appear on the heel section.

This collaboration is limited to 800 pairs with each coming packaged with it's own "Sac de Billes," the marbles in question, built from clay, are sourced from Bille en Brousse, the world's only clay marble manufacturer.

Hit up Colette to hook yourself up.
