Banksy - 'Cardinal Sin'

Banksy is making headlines once again with the unveiling of his latest piece, Cardinal Sin, at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. A tile mosaic has benn strategically placed on a replica bust of a cardinal as a visual protest on the disturbing child abuse scandals that have swept through the Catholic Church in recent years. In a statement, Banksy added “I’m never sure who deserves to be put on a pedestal or crushed under one.”
He also stated during a brief interview with the BBC that “…the statue? I guess you could call it a Christmas present. At this time of year it’s easy to forget the true meaning of Christianity – the lies, the corruption, the abuse.”
Banksy is provocative as ever, that's for sure.
