Air Force 1 Bespoke 'Back to Basics'
Friday, December 23, 2011 at 4:52PM
We've seen a number of Air Force 1 releases of late including the 'Cashmere Canvas' featured by No Face last week.
This sway toward the premium has also been seen in the options being produced on the bespoke programme at 21 Mercer, which has once again added further options to it's already strong catalogue. This particular build entitled 'Back to Basics' has used the new options and the resulting sneaker
has premium written all over it.
Dressed in a pale blue high grade leather the entire body of the kick is blocked to this colour. Unusually the air unit sole has been replaced with a grey leather wrap around which adds to the dressier appearance of the shoes. Debossing is seen on the heel tab which is once again of high grain leather composition but this time a contrasting tan is used. Blue leather laces and complimentary lace stays
finish the build.
The execution on these is on point and is the strongest I've seen come out of 21 Mercer, my only criticism would be that I think a gum sole would have set these off slightly better than the white which was used.
Big look.
