Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Saga Mazarine Blue
Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 8:14PM
As with any drop from Asics and Ronnie Fieg, the sneaker don presents us with the customary model shots for this Thursday's release of the Mazarine Gel Saga.
Ronnie has a knack of showing Asics off to their full potential with some of the dopest colorways to be seen on sneakers, using block colour to present us with some unusually creative takes on the classic runners.
This latest collaboration's color is taken from the Mazarine butterfly which is abundant in European countries. Using pigskin suede as the medium due to it's remarkable ability to hold the vivid colours which Fieg is choosing of late. The Mazarine is, in my personal opinion, the strongest drop, the cherry on top of the absolutely sick collection of kicks that Fieg put out in 2011. Every Asics this guy touches seems to turn to gold and the busiest man in the sneaker game is by no means losing his touch.

True to form, the release will be joined by a new interpretation on the varsity jacket exclusively designed for retail at the KITH flagships in both Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Jacket compliments the vibrant hue of the sneakers with Royal blue chenille lettering as is used on the outsole, and the Mazarine blue shade is matched by the outline of the lettering.

Both kicks and varsity will be released in KITH Brooklyn and Manhattan at 11am EST. Need to hook myself up a US postal address soon as the inability to get hold of any of Fieg's drops outside the US is killing both myself and Kyle from Enclave Apparel.
