Heritage Research SS'11 Parka Jackets

UK brand Heritage Research recently launched their SS'11 lookbook which is based on the the idea of 1940's American servicemen returning to the US from Europe and re-assimilating with the daily life of a civilian. I fell in love with these jackets.
These are new versions of the staple HR Longline Parka crafted from waterproof British Millerain cotton. The jacket features two large military bellows pockets, a signature military brass RiRi zipper, an adjusted cut and fit, unlined with all seams bound in English cotton Cambric, button up storm flap, high fastening neck, adjustable cuffs, fitted peaked hood and leather adjusters on hood and hem.

The Longline Parka has been developed with elements taken from both 60 40 mountain parkas and a classic Maine fisherman's jacket, it is also fully waxed.
There are two versions of the jacket available, a braced model and one which contains a removable gillet. Each is available in three different colorways, the yellow version with green lining being my favourite of the drop, that pop of green simply looks so sick.
The parka is available now through Pegg and Son in Brighton, Oi Polloi in Manchester and Present in Shoreditch.
