Carhartt X Lovenskate: TEA-RIFFIC!

Everybody loves a cup of tea - especially Lovenskate's Stuart Smith and Graham Mitchell (of Strange Fruit).

The first time these two met on a night out they almost got in a fight, but upon discovering that they were in the same classes at college they quickly became friends and have skated together ever since. They moved to London in '99 and around 10 years ago Stuart started to put together a fanzine with a screen printed cover, and some musings about skating around the world. Lovenskate was born. The Lovenskate ethos revolves around friends coming together because they have a  passion for skating - Graham has created a number of sick designs for Stuart over the years. This simple but effective idea means that Lovenskate has been growing exponentially ever since.

Carhartt have decided to help Stuart and Graham demonstrate their love for a good brew with this 'Tea-Riffic' collaboration. This sick box set consists of a 8.25" skate deck, a two pint teapot, two mugs, a tasty tee and some stickers and 'Tea-Riffic' tea bags thrown in to top it all off! The tee alone makes me want to get my hands on this set. Lovenskate and Carhartt have smashed it with this collab, and Lovenskate's core values are clearly working. In Stuart's own words - “The screen-printing binds the whole thing together. We have loads of creative friends, artists, illustrators, designers, all skateboarders, we go skate, drink tea and talk nonsense, and we come up with ideas, and in one day we can make a new board graphic, or a T-shirt, something stupid or funny that gets us excited about skateboarding, and we can just print it and make a product in our little studio in East London and‚ cause we can do it just like that, punk style, POW! it still keeps all its energy, and its spontaneity, and fun. That is how we like to do it.”

The box set is going for £120 here and is limited to a run of 30.
