The adidas Originals collaborative collection with Star Wars continues into the fall/winter 2011 season. Unlike the spring adidas x Star Wars collection, which had a flowery playful tone, the fall collection is heavily inspired by Empire Strikes Back.
A portion of the collection is inspired by the action that took place on the planet of Hoth. This part of the collection starts with a Luke Skywalker adidas Top Ten Hi, which is drawn from the gear he wore on Hoth. On that frozen planet, Skywalker faced off with a Wampa, which inspires the Campus 80s that are set in a white horse hair upper and is contrasted with red and black. Also rocking a Hoth look is the white M65 Field Jacket.
Darth Vader has two pieces in the collection, the Leather A15 jacket and a Stan Smith Mid with Vader's helmet set boldly on the side panels.
To finish the collection off there are two pieces inspired by original space pirate Han Solo and his Millennium Falcon.
The two pieces come in the form of the adidas Forum Mid Military in a green and orange make up, the kicks are finished with Solo's portrait on the tongue and the Millennium Falcon set towards the heel. The final piece is the Militant Flight jacket which rolls with subtle SW Branding Matching the kicks.
The collaboration continues to roll deep I'll be keeping my eyes open for the drop at adidas Originals accounts.
