Prison Photography: A Preview
Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 9:02PM
The New York Times recently interviewed Pete Brook, writer and editor of Prison Photography, who is currently planning a 12 week-long project following various American prison photographers. His intention is to share their photographic works but more importantly their stories; specifically what drives them to spend time in some of the world's most dangerous prisons all in the name of photojournalism.
The interview was
conducted to find out his motives and the thought process behind the selection of specific photographers he has chosen to feature and follow.
Within this post you can see a selection of my favourite images from a kickstarter project. I have found these truly inspiring and plan to one day, do something similar.
