Nottingham collective MIMM have just released a great four track EP, available to download for free, showcasing the talents of their new signings.
For those unaware, MIMM is a Nottingham based independent clothing shop set up with help from the Princes Trust in 2010. Since then, the store has successfully strived to combine the worlds of art, fashion and music, pushing independent brands and artists. Today, the store has established a strong and loyal following, holding art exhibitions instore, running their own clubnights, and have their own record label.
This EP serves a slice of multi genre experimentation, featuring the works of Sergic, Lyka and Metske.
"Not wanting to be pigeonholed to any one specific scene, MIMM serve up inspired lashings of evil bass techno; ominous, acidic tinged swung house; a future gazing amalgamation of synth driven dancehall beat music and finally a retro, drunken mix of analogue edged electronics set to the driving heartbeat of classic drum machines and warped arpeggios."
Tracklisting as follows;
1. Metske - Matter Plane
2. Sergic – Worm
3. Lyka - Abrassive
4. Sergic & Lyka - Vanilla
