Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar has always been proud of his roots, constantly referencing his city in his tunes, whether it be in a good way or a bad one. This latest track is his biggest tribute yet and, in a genius move, it features the one and only Dr. Dre on a few verses. Production comes courtesy of Just Blaze, who has crafted a grandiose beat for Kendrick to absolutely rip on.
Compton sounds both classic and modern, the hook and Dre's presence on the track screams old school, whereas Kendrick's flow is clearly from the future. This is the latest track from his highly anticipated new album, good kid, m.a.a.d. city, and I couldn't be more stoked.
