Sneakersnstuff x Asics GT II
Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 8:01PM
Sneakersnstuff have collaborated with Asics once again, this time revisiting the GT II silhouette that they worked on for their first project with Asics back in 2011. This latest design is inspired by The Seventh Seal, a Swedish film that was written and directed by Ingmar Bergman, in which a medieval knight plays a game of chess with Death.
A sneaker based on a black and white film where chess is the focal point means that we see a monochrome GT II constructed out of black nubuck with black and white details. The stripes on the lateral side of the shoe are black with a 3M base and on the medial side the stripes are white with also with a 3M base. Chess pieces on the heel and sock liner, along with checkered lining, finish off the kicks.
They'll be released at Sneakersnstuff in Stockholm and Malmö on October 20th and online here. The global release is slated for October 27th at selected Asics accounts worldwide.
