NY Skateboarding: 5Boro Part 1

Having not released a skate video since 2005, a big deal is being made over 5Boro's new video, premiering tonight (16th), and rightly so. Online NY skate editorial NY Skateboarding have conducted a multi-part interview with the brand and it's family.  In part 1 of the video series, hear what 5Boro have to say about the movie, entitled "Join, Or Die" and see some sweet archived footage of skating NYC.

You may remember theteaser to the video we posted a few months back; it's fascinating to now hear the people involved reflecting back on the long process of recording all the footage, which started way back in 2007. 

Although I love the quality of HD cameras and the way they have changed skate videos, using one myself, there's something about an old school skate video before the new wave of advancements in technology. Brands including Palace still prefer the old feel to their movies which is great to see and they recently won European Skate Brand Of The Year 2012 so they can't be doing much wrong.

Premieres of Join, Or Die will be held around the world; Thrasher plan to premiere the video online in a few weeks. The DVD will be free at selective 5Boro stockists across the globe, check your local skate shop for details.
