Goliath Shoes : Jacket Required

Allow me  to introduce you to Goliath; a shoe brand we were fortunate enough to meet at Jacket Required. Founded in 1925, the brand was born supplying high quality shoes for the working gentleman with appreciation for fine detail; something just as important today. See a selection of my shots of the products on show within this post. Over the years Goliath have had a strong presence in the athletic market, however the success slowed down and the brand went into hibernation, only to be reborn in 2006.

As an ode to the brand name and it's story, Goliath continued where they left off, ensuring to provide the highest quality shoes using skilled craftsmanship.

In the last six years, the brand has grown stronger and stronger, always seeking to improve their products for the customer. They currently have a great new team including creative designers who are very passionate about the product.

This passion was obvious from meeting Paul Smallpage at JR and was great to see; so much so that they left a lasting impression on all of us. Goliath have a lot to be happy about, with some solid designs in their upcoming collection.

On show were slick designs and colorways of the Chukka, Mountain, Bumper, Commando, Lugsole and Forceful. The brand also produce their own coffee, which according to Flossy is 'pretty damn good'.

I've got my eye on a pair of the Hiking Boots; the design was flawless, yet different to anything I've seen on the market. I can safely speak on behalf of all of us when I say we're excited to see where the brand goes over the next few years.

Stay tuned for more information on Goliath in the coming months.
