Peter O’Grady, aka Joy Orbison, has some great releases on the horizon.
The first is a house tune dubbed Ellipsis, which has been cropping up in a number of DJ sets here in the UK, the aforementioned track will finally see a vinyl release on May 31st, via Hinge Finger, the label run by Will Bankhead (of The Trilogy Tapes) and Joy Orbison.
You can preorder the vinyl here, and stream a rip of the track below.
In addition to this highly anticipated release, he is set to drop a brand new 12″ which comes courtesy of a 5 month studio stint with Boddika. It's their second collaborative effort for Sunklow, and I truly hope that a third is in the pipeline. Here's what they had to say about Dun Dun/Prone;
“We’re veering off into a slightly different direction. We didn’t want the music we’re writing to sound like what we’re known for as individuals and that’s been a bit of an effort, so over the last five months we’ve been in the studio just taking our time with things…the new stuff is a little housier, but by no means generic at all.”
The vinyl only release of Dun Dun/Prone is available now via Rubadub, you can also check out previews of the two tracks below.
