Logic - Young Sinatra: Undeniable Mixtape

This mixtape was my introduction to the boy wonder known as Logic and it has had me researching the kid all day.
Hailing from Maryland, the East Coast rapper has been steadily cranking out music over the last couple of years, taking his inspiration from the Hip-Hop that helped redefine the genre and culture throughout the 1990s. Artists and groups such as Nas, Wu-Tang, Jay-Z, Big L and Gangstarr have a heavy influence on his own work, which really feels like a throwback to circa '96 (in a good way).
The 'rawness' that was prevalent during the golden age of rap helped him develop the flow that he has today.
His style and prose comes from his utmost respect for the Old School, which is then blended with production from more recent eras - with brilliant results.
Logic is as real as they come, he grew up in abject poverty and acknowledges the hard work necessary to succeed independently in the music business.
His Young Sinatra: Undeniable mixtape is a testament to his ethos, boasting 22 tracks that blend the old and the new perfectly. You can get it here, and stream it below.
