Beachbreak Live Festival Re-Cap

Last weekend I was shooting at Beachbreak Live, UK's largest student festival. Returning for my second time, I was greeted with torrential rain and wind storms strong enough to blow tents into the air and out of sight.
It didn't dampen spirits however, with a strong line up of musicians from around the world entertaining students there to have a good time. Headliners included Dizzee Rascal, Friendly Fires and Skream. Check out my favourite shots from the weekend after the jump.
Now running in it's sixth year, the operations side of the festival is ran expertly, with the layout of the arena nicely split up for the different genre's of music catered for, all of which were no more than a 10 minute walk from eachother which is always pleasant. Smak and Spar Warz took care of the visuals inside the festival; commissioned to paint the Ghetto Blaster area as well as putting up a healthy amount of reaches elsewhere.
Personal highlights of the weekend included; the high
quality and presence of UK Hip Hop especially Dr Syntax & Four Owls, chilling with Astroid Boys in the campsite, meeting Hempolics, watching Eats Everything and Phaeleh inside the Ghetto Blaster, catching up with Laid Blak again after a long break, and linking up with old friend Script MC who was hosting Netksy's live tour resulting in a good party with the Hospitality crew on the last night and ending up on Netksy's tour bus.
Overall it was a very enjoyable weekend which I'm very happy to have been a part of. Big thanks to Megan and the Full Fat
gang for the smooth organisation throughout. Shouts to all the people I met; photographers, festival goers and artists.
