North Skate Mag - First Edition

A chance encounter yesterday with Graham Tait yesterday led to my introduction to Scottish skate magazine North.
Graham is the photographer and editor of the aforementioned. After realising he wanted to put his passion for photography into application, North Skateboard Magazine was conceived. After two years in the making the first edition came to fruition and I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy; Graham's passion is evident throughout the slickly assembled magazine. The stunning imagery is accompanied by interviews with a variety of local boys including Jimmy McDonald, Bobby Bailey and Aaron Wilmot.
The magazine showcases local spots and riders alike and it's clear to see that a lot
of blood, sweat and tears have been thrust into the project, the two years it's taken to deliver the first issue has been very much worth it. One thing which sets North apart from other magazines is the fact that, although he still uses digital, Graham has shot everything on film because of the buzz of waiting to see results and the overall quality.
The aim at this stage is to produce two copies of NSM a year and after
contributing all the imagery for the first edition Graham hopes that this will serve as a catalyst for others who wish to contribute towards future issues.
NSM is currently available in store at all of it's stockists.
