Cole Haan - LunarGrand Chukka

Last spring saw the first 'collaboration' between Cole Haan and Nike on the LunarGrand, what the designers managed to achieve was a marriage of two distinct opposites in a manner which looked completely natural and effortless. This is unusual in a world of clunky hybrids which look as if they have been crowbarred together, but what Cole Haan did with the LunarGrand has been repeated in the guise of the LunarGrand Chukka.
I say collaboration in
the loosest sense of the term as this is completely generated by the guys at Cole Haan and it is only the use of the sole unit which can be attributed to Nike. The LunarGrand Chukka successfully delivers where it’s predecessor left off, once again the juxtaposition is a treat, A rich suede upper of black is fused with Nike’s Lunar Tech. The went with Nike's 'Volt' tone and apply it to both the sole unit as well as in the form of perforated detailing on the tongue.

The success of the previous drop is sure to give this latest incarnation an advantage when it comes to market, even though the aesthetic pretty much sells itself.
