L-Vis 1990 New E.P Via Night Slugs - Preview And Promo Video

James Connelly better known as L-Vis 1990 recently dropped this stomper, titled Ballads, via his label Night Slugs. This long awaited three track release has finally arrived and with it comes this mysterious and beautiful promo video. Animated by Nic Hamilton and art directed by L-vis 1990 himself alongside label mate Bok Bok, the video samples appetising snippets of all the tracks featured on the E.P.

The main track Ballad 4D which adopted the name the 'Submarine Tune' for its gargantuan waterlogged bass tones, has had a lot of attention lately with DJ's such as Ben UFO and the likes playing it out and it just goes off!

OL x Kixbox - Memory Mist Music Video

Moscow based producer OL has had one of his well known tunes from 2011 resurfaced thanks to Kixbox who have kindly produced a dope music video for the chilled track; having never had any visuals to support it at the time of release.

Shot on a summers day, this video portrays what many would consider very close to a 'perfect day'.

The directing and filming is on point, with some nice styling to give it an old school feel.

Shlohmo & Jeremih - Bo Peep (Do U Right)

A couple of weeks back Flossy wrote about the highly anticipated collaboration between Shlohmo and Jeremih, which came courtesy of the efforts of Yours Truly. At the time the two artists released a video dubbed "songs from scratch" which only stoked the fire.

Bo Peep, the delectable by-product of this union, demonstrates how well the two artists work together in the studio. It meets perfectly in the middle of the two artist's styles without sounding forced in any way. It's a match made in heaven and best collaboration out of the YT camp yet.

Stream and download the track below.

Giraffage 'Needs' Mixtape

After showing us some promise with his handful of tracks in the past, San Francisco's Giraffage has finally put out some new material in the form of this mixtape, released via Alpha Pup Records.

Needs will have you hooked 20 seconds into the first track. R&B samples and airy soundscapes are laid out underneath some delectably tight percussion. According to the man himself, he went through the worst time of his life and also the best time of his life while writing the songs for this album. Some of the tracks definitely hint to a love lost, some are more upbeat. All of them are on point.

Stream Needs in its entirety below, and download it for free here.

Jennifer Lopez - Get Right (Shift Key Remix)

We love a good bootleg here at FH, especially when the track being remixed is a pop smash from the early 2000s.

Shift Key has taken J-Lo's hit and turned it into an outrageously good garage tune which would sit quite comfortably in a Disclosure set. There's just something about hearing pop hits from your youth being re-worked, and given a new lease of life, that is inherently satisfying.

Nostalgia is a powerful thing. Stream the bootleg below, download it here.

Introducing: Slam Sounds 'Invisible Forces' EP

Lithuanian born, London based, electronic producer Slam Sounds rolls on the start of the new year with this superb 5 track EP titled Invisible Forces. After many setbacks, this long awaited release clearly demonstrates his ability to deliver a diverse but accurate collection of what is current and in demand right now whilst still having the feeling of something very fresh. I first heard of Slam Sounds from a video appetiser released a few months back. The short but sweet 30 second preview, made by his brother filmmaker/editor Junas Grybe, left us excited for the release which hasn't let us down in the slightest.

Part Time Wizards Interview Bear//Face

About a month ago we introduced you to Belfast-based producer BEΛR//FVCE, who immediately impressed us with his hazy, bass-laden, music.

Our good friends over at Part Time Wizards managed to get a hold of BEΛR//FVCE for an interview in which they discuss the artist's plans for next year, his musical influences, and his reaction to the success of Taste My Sad in the blogosphere.
