Carhartt have once again been enlisted by mastermind JAPAN to help create a new capsule collection this Autumn/Winter.
The collection consists of three items; a coat, sweat parka, and work pants. The hardware comes courtesy of Carhartt, whilst the master collaborator adds finishing touches such as premium materials, fur, golden zips and toggles, as well as multiple appearances of the MMJ Skull motif. This image is all we have to go on right now but the prospect of Carhartt durability combined with Japanese finesse is extremely enticing.
The Nike x Size? collabs have been coming thick and fast this season, and this latest one in particular seems to be getting a lot of attention. As the name suggests we see geometric patterns draped on all three silhouettes, which are built out of a combination of premium suede and nylon, all sitting on a white mid.
It appears Norse Projects are steadily killing it of late, the latest release from the Nordic giants is this tidy collaboration with The Goodhood Store. Having seen a number of highly selective collaborations to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the retailers this latest joint effort sits well amongst its counterparts. The collection looks extremely tidy and features some nice options, one of which is a three way on a Scandinavian classic.
"If you don’t like purple, you’ll pass. We’ve got eggplant, violet, mauve, lilac, lavender and another un-nameable shade that looks like three-day-old chewing gum but slots perfectly into the mix, delivering total synchronicity."
It's been a good while since we last saw a collaboration between Carhartt and Vans; the last collaboration manifested itself in the form of three builds of Authentic constructed from suede, possessing a distinctly premium vibe. Having seen the Authentic time and time again over the last year it's refreshing to see that for their latest collaboration Carhartt WIP have dropped the silhouette in favour of the Old Skool.
