For spring summer 2013 Penfield have taken to the Hamptons to shoot their lookbook. The east coast summer retreat is the perfect backdrop for the collection which features a suitable dose of preppy styling together with some nice options of core outerwear.

LA based Publish don't conform to South Cali convention when it comes to their creative direction, shying away from the surf/skate inspiration of many brands from the region for a more traditional approach.
For spring summer the brand aptly title their lookbook "Artisans United" perhaps in homage to their passion and brand ethos.

Norse Projects continue in their own distinct style producing a comprehensive and well styled lookbook for spring summer 2013. For the new season the Danish brand stick to a delicate base palette of ecru and navy with pops of subtle colour and some carefully selected prints adding depth to the collection.
NP manage to deliver an interesting lookbook which is completely driven by its styling. Shot on a clean white background, the book focuses completely on the product selection without the usual distractions of epic backdrops one would expect with some collections. This tried and tested shoot is in-fitting with the brand's identity and with such a strong level of styling I for one am pleased that it’s the product that does all the talking.

Earlier this week we took a look at the Carhartt Work In Progress Spring Summer gents lookbook, today it's the turn of the ladies collection to take the limelight.
The lookbook has the same direction as the gents, using a clean backdrop and clever lighting to highlight its styling. One thing which is apparent throughout the lookbook is that Work in Progress are adept at reinterpreting silhouettes, whether it be the traditional Carhartt workwear aesthetic for the urban market or, in this case, those same options with a more feminine execution.

Carhartt Work In Progress have carved themselves quite a path as a brand, whilst remaining true to their American Workwear roots they have developed an instantly recognisable aesthetic which continues to evolve as each season passes.
Having previously peeped the preview video for the collection it was clear to see that once again WIP were pushing themselves creatively, with a beautifully shot lookbook using clever lighting to lift the product and give a distinct seasonal move.

Nixon have just revealed a sneak preview of their latest seasonal themed collection for Spring/Summer 2013. The Desert Sand Collection features a nice range of product built from suede and leather in a selection of contrasting colourways and strong silhouettes.
