Edwin S/S'13 Lookbook

FH favourites Edwin have released their spring summer 2013 lookbook showcasing their diverse range of hard wearing, built-to-last products. Shot entirely outside, the lookbook was inspired by the life, work and road-tripping lifestyle of ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ Author Ken Kesey.

The styling and art direction of the shoot is simple and effective with the usual selection of varied models to illustrate the wide appeal of the brand.

The premise is to stay true to the brands Sami roots, the Sami are from the Lappish part of Sweden and by giving a pair to each of seven Sami people the brand will recreate the washes after a period of six months have passed.

Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III "Selvedge"

Ronnie Fieg is set to squeeze in one more release of the iconic Gel Lyte III before the year is out. On this occasion, the Asics maestro moves away from his customary pigskin suede and takes a somewhat unusual approach by applying premium selvedge denim to the upper of the runners.

The first shot of the shoes appears gracing the cover of the latest edition of Sneaker Freaker and makes for a nice teaser. The indigo coloured upper is complimented by red and white accents; synonymous with the edging of top quality denim. Fieg accents the upper in a fashion in which only he can, balancing colour perfectly from tip to heel. Tube laces finish the make up, something which has been making a regular appearance on the build lately.

Edwin x Oi Polloi 10th Anniversary ED-49

Japanese denim manufacturers Edwin have teamed up with Manchester menswear store Oi Polloi to produce a collaborative jean celebrating the store's 10th year in the business. Using the finest quality denim, the collaboration is limited to 100 pieces and won't be around for much longer.

The design is faultless, combining two of the store's favourite styles: taking the reliable chassis of the ED49 with the pocket detail of the Nashville. The denim itself is 14.5 oz deadstock, green selvage denim from Serge de Nîmes, Cone Mills.
