Py - Polyethers

Its been a while since we've heard from London singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and visual artist PY. After the release of her well received project Tripping On Wisdom last year there's been a lot of anticipation to see what she has to offer for 2013 and this follow up track that recently surfaced covers all expectations and more.

Polyethers has been described as an "epic love song" that showcases exactly what Py is capable of, with some impressive vocal depth that has come a long way since her debut, as well as some incredible production techniques that completely blew me away.

Disclosure - You & Me ft. Eliza Doolittle (Baauer Remix)

Over the past few months we've seen Disclosure go from strength to strength, harnessing the rebirth of UK Garage and putting their own twist on things, to great effect.

The same could be said for Baauer, who has been hard at work for a while, the contagiousness of the Harlem Shake craze definitely helped him become a household name, but he has been a mainstay of the New York trap scene for quite some time now. It makes sense then that these two camps would collaborate at some point, especially as Disclosure begin to spread their tendrils across the atlantic.

Giraffage's previous release, Needs, has only just faded from memory so I'm pleased to see it refreshed in such a timely fashion with this latest offering from the San Franciscan producer. It comes in the form of a remix of Janet Jackson's 2001 heater Someone To Call My Lover.

Kingdom - Bank Head ft. Kelela

​Bank Head originally debuted back in January as one of the stand out tracks from the Night Slugs All Stars Volume 2 compilation. Now, Night Slugs soldier and Fade to Mind general Kingdom is re-releasing a vocal version of the track alongside F2M singer Kelela as part of Vertical XL, his first release via his own label.

George Maples - Fixed (Maribou State Remix)

London based Maribou State recently surfaced yet another dope track through their Soundcloud page. This time the duo provide fans with a beautiful re-work of George Maple's track Fixed.

George Maple is no stranger to the garage/house scene with her current work in progress alongside Bondax and a previous collaboration with Flumes on Bring You Down. It's clear that the artist's unique sound could go a long way in the electronic music scene and Maribou's recent downtempo garage edit proves just that.

Shlohmo & Jeremih - Bo Peep (Do U Right)

A couple of weeks back Flossy wrote about the highly anticipated collaboration between Shlohmo and Jeremih, which came courtesy of the efforts of Yours Truly. At the time the two artists released a video dubbed "songs from scratch" which only stoked the fire.

Bo Peep, the delectable by-product of this union, demonstrates how well the two artists work together in the studio. It meets perfectly in the middle of the two artist's styles without sounding forced in any way. It's a match made in heaven and best collaboration out of the YT camp yet.
