Lupe Fiasco - Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)

Here's the first single from Lupe’s new album, Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album. I'm not sure if that title is a genius move or if he's preemptively shot himself in the foot, we'll have to wait and see once it drops. The tune itself stirred up some controversy because it uses the same sample as Pete Rock’s classic hit, T.R.O.Y.

However, Pete Rock released this statement to assure us that everything is cool.

Game ft. Lupe Fiasco - Skate On

The Game has been making some interesting collaboration choices as he moves towards the release of his fifth studio album F.I.V.E. (Fear Is Victory's Evolution) and none have piqued my interest quite as much as this track, Skate On, where he has brought Lupe Fiasco in to mix things up a little.

This pairing seems odd at first, but once you give Skate On a listen you'll realise the Game knows exactly what he's doing. Stream/Download below.

No Lupe, I definitely was not expecting you to release a new tune out of nowhere, and I especially didn't realise that you would release it for free via your twitter feed.

The original 'American Terrorist' can be found on Food & Liquor, and is an absolute tune. The Third does it's ancestors proud.
