Main Attrakionz - 'Bossalinis & Fooliyones' LP

We've been covering their progress for a while now, so it's only fitting that we review Main Attrakionz' debut full length, Bossalinis & Fooliyones.

Squadda B and Mondre M.A.N. of Main Attrakionz have been rapping together for most of their young lives. The two dudes hail from North Oakland, California, and have always shared a love of rap, which led them to focus on producing music with a talented crew of local artists (such as Friendzone).

They've branched out of the Bay Area a little with the LP; recruiting Chicago-based producer Supreme Cuts on a couple of tracks, but they haven't forgotten their roots, with local boys The Mekanix getting in on some of the action too.

Main Attrakionz - Do it for the Bay ft. Davinci

After a string of singles throughout 2011/12, Bay Area rappers Main Attrakionz' debut LP, Bossalinis & Fooliyones, is finally due to be released on October 22nd via Young One Records. The first single to come off of the album is the aptly named Do it for the Bay, which features fellow Bay Area MC Davinci. The production comes courtesy of Harry Fraud, and it's a healthy mix of opaque atmospherics and hard hitting 808s. Stream/Download below.

Main Attrakionz X Friendzone - Women We Chase

We've posted up a fair few Main Attrakionz remixes in the past, as this pair from Oakland's laid back, hazy expression lends itself to being reworked and mixed into different production styles extremely well.

This is absolutely the case when they work with James Laurence and Dylan Reznick, aka Friendzone.

Check out their latest collaboration, Women We Chase below. It's a free download as well!

Mishka Summer '12 Lookbook

Mishka have now released their full Summer '12 lookbook, following yet another short trailer video. The lookbook epitomises exactly what summer is about for all of us.

All of the recent lookbooks from the Brooklyn brand have been shot in a specific location featuring local musicians, this season is no different with the Bay Area as the location of choice. Working together with San Francisco rapper Zackg, local artists were recruited and locations selected.

Friendzone - Kuchibiru Network II

I came across Friendzone just the other day and I don't know how I haven't before considering the amount of releases these guys put out.

The Bay Area production duo work hard to consistently release music for us to listen to, and more often than not it's free which is aways a bonus.

Marshmellow Yellow - Main Attrakionz Remix

Not too long ago I posted up a tune by this pair of hazy rappers and I'm going to follow it up with their latest release, which is even more tripped-out than the last one.

This time around, Main Attrakionz have remixed lo-fi beat-wizards Peaking Lights, and it's pretty much a match made in heaven.

It'll feature on a remix compilation that Peaking Lights are releasing later this month. Check it out below.

Main Attrakionz - Perfect Skies (Supreme Cuts Remix)

I haven't heard much from Main Attrakionz but from what I understand they're smoky, hazy rappers who are G as hell. They shoot music videos around their neighbourhood, and rap in a relaxed demeanour which kind of reminds me of 36 Mafia.

With their remix of Perfect Skies, Supreme Cuts have made the tune sound even hazier, if that was even possible.
