RL Grime: Halloween Mixtape

Right, I realize I'm a day late telling you about this one. Anybody who had a house party for Halloween last night, I apologize for you not having this ridiculous mix to bump.

I've seen a few Halloween-themed musical projects this past week, but RL Grime's Halloween Mixtape is by far my favourite. Given his moniker, it was basically a must that the DJ/producer would drop something ridiculous. I wasn't expecting the exclusive intro from the Goosebumps writer, Mr. RL Stine though, that is next level.

Skrause Mix for Shuffler FM

Skrause is back with yet another incredible mix, this time for Shuffler FM.

I've said this before but I'm going to say it again; the reason his mixes go down so well with me is because he blends my tastes perfectly. Hip Hop and Bass music, what more could you ask for?

I will be bumping this in Tokyo today, no doubt.

Stream/Download below.

Nosaj Thing On Mary Ann Hobbs XFM

It's been a while since we last heard from LA based electronic music wiz Nosaj Thing, after nearly three years since the release of his incredible Drift album its good to know that the artist has been spending some time back in the studio for the release of his forthcoming album.

Last week Nosaj returned to the Mary Ann Hobbs show with this dope twenty minute mix that features brand new tracks from the anticipated album, a Kendrick Lamar rework, a collaboration with Teebs and some tunes from the likes of Lunice, Jamie xx, Machinedrum and Jonwayne.

Check out the mix below and keep an eye on the Nosaj Thing page for updates.

Bondax - Mix for Mary Anne Hobbs

Bondax are definitely ones to watch. The two young producers (one's 17, the other 18) from Lancaster have been making waves with their sharp production and I've been acheing to hear a mix out of their camp for ages.

Well they recently did one for Mary Anne Hobbs on XFM, and in 24 minutes they make it clear that they mean business. MAH gives them a brief intro then hands over the decks with, “Bondax, this is your time, step up!” - They definitely did. Listen/Download below.

Audio Addict - Dampened Dubstep Vol. III

Birmingham based up and coming DJ/producer Audio Addict has put together the third instalment of his infamous deep and dark Dubstep series titled Dampened Dubstep.

Audio Addict crept into the Dubstep scene back in 2007 after four years of plaiying UK Garage and Grime, since then he has been making his name known worldwide with some incredible mixes and supporting slots alongside the likes of Trolley Snatcha, Kryptic Minds, Chasing Shadows, Foreign Beggars and many more.

Mishka Keep Watch Vol. XXXII: Subscape

Mishka's infamous Keep Watch Series is back with a particularly bassy instalment. This time around we are treated to a 40 minute mix from none other than Dub Police's Subscape.

If you've steered clear of dubstep since Skrillex reared his ugly head, then I urge you to give this mix a listen. I don't want to get all misty eyed and talk about the 'golden age' of dubstep because the genre existed in one form or another way before I was listening to it.

RL Grime Mix for Hot Bizzies

Oh snap. New mix from Henry Steinway aka Clockwork aka RL Grime. The New York based producer put this together for on point blog Hot Bizzies, and it's an absolute beast. Relying heavily on UK garage and all around bass-music influences, the mix features some of my favorite artists in that particular scene right now, including Rustie, Dubbel Dutch and South Rakkas Crew. Also, there’s a never before heard RL Grime tune that's snuck in just before the mix’s D’Angelo send-off. Listen and check out the tracklist below.
