FTC Presents 'Young Bucks 2' Video

After nearly 30 years in the game, FTC can rightfully call themselves one of the veteran brands still out there pushing the scene forward. Their latest video showcases some of their youngest skaters showing off their talents, dubbing them the Young Bucks.

The video is dope and makes a statement that the brand are here to stick around for a lot longer paving the way for yet another generation of great skaters.

The Philadelphia Experiment

Chris Mulhern's Philadelphia Experiment shares the same name as a US military program that was reportedly carried out in the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in October of 1943. It is alleged that naval destroyer USS Eldridge was rendered invisible, allowing it to be hidden from enemy devices. The experiment was based on the Unified Field Theory, a term coined by Albert Einstein.

Fallen loves Black Metal

Fallen Footwear, a company that falls under Jamie Thomas' Black Box Distribution umbrella, are a brand that push product by skaters for skaters. 

For SS '13 I'm pleased to see that they have indulged their dark side, creating a selection of products demonstrating their love of black metal. Featuring skulls, snakes and some incredible black metal lettering, this is right up my street.

Shawn Powers Palace Edit

Shawn "The Ghost" Powers, a skater that lurks in the New York underground, has come strong with his latest Palace edit. Hailing from Queens, Powers really oozes OG east coast style. Like all Palace videos this is completely filmed on VHS cameras, to great effect. 

This edit feels like one of the classics. The Ghost hits up most of New York in this one, stomping street spots, dodging traffic, and doing mad ollies over everything. His style, the VHS, and the soundtrack all come together to create something which feels like a throwback, in the best way possible.

We can always expect a broad selection of products complemented by strong imagery in their lookbooks however I think this season is the best we've seen from the streetwear giants in recent years.

Joey Pepper’s HUF Signature Shoe for 2013

HUF have introduced a new shoe for Spring '13, the first signature model for professional skateboarder Joey Pepper dubbed the Pepper Pro. It comes with a vulcanized construction, an extra toe wrap, reinforced ollie panels and nylon webbing along the upper’s side for durability. The perforated toecap and inner mesh lining add breathability, whilst a deer logo sits on the tongue and insole as a personal touch from Pepper, who loves the outdoors.

As part of an ongoing series, Pro skateboarder Paul Rodriguez is back with this latest episode of Paul Rodriguez Life. This most recent cut takes a look into P-rods childhood memorabilia while him and his team mates try to recreate tricks from the skater's first video part back in 2001 for Street Cinema. Although this is the first episode I've featured from the series that delves into the life of the popular skateboarder it's still worth checking out the back catalogue for some more dope footage.
