After passing the 20 year milestone in 2012, Steve Caballero's now iconic Half Cabs model shows no sign of slowing down with two colourways set for release in Spring 2013.
The all new 'croc suede' models feature the addition of embossed crocodile suede paneling at the ankle and quarter panels amongst the familiar suede panels forming the surrounding upper.
Featuring a canvas snake-skin upper with a sharp contrasting red Vans stripe. Snake branding has been added to the tongue tab and midsole, with “Year of the Snake” appearing in Stussy's trademark font on the heel of each shoe. It is looking like these will be exclusive to Stussy Japan, hopefully they'll make their way over to the rest of the world.
In keeping with the surge of Chinese Zodiac influenced releases, Vans are due to release the Old Skool Year Of The Snake pack very soon.
The popular vintage model's upper has undergone the snakeskin treatment in the form of faux snakeskin on the branding, tongue and heel. These Old Skools are available in five colourways: yellow, turquoise, navy, red and purple.

DQM and Vans have teamed up once again to present the 'Woven Collection' for Holiday 2012, consisting of a Vans Era and Sk8-Hi decked out in rust coloured suede with hand-woven black suede quarter panels.
Sitting on top of a crisp white sole, these shoes are executed perfectly without over doing the design. These are some of the strongest Vans I've seen in a while.
Just in time for the holiday season, Vans present us with three new colourways of their popular AV Native American Low silhouette. This new range of skateboard influenced lows combine a nice selection of fabrics including nylon mesh, canvas and suede; the skateboarders favourite.
It's safe to say that 2012 has been a great year for Half Cabs; celebrating their 20th anniversary we have been treated to a vast range of anniversary silhouettes which have truly given the classic model a revival which is great to see.
For Holiday 2012, Vans have designed a great pack consisting of Eras and Half Cabs decked out in suede and flannel.
For the holiday season Vans California present this new model – The Mesa Moc. Hybrids are doing it at the minute and this relaxed chukka-esque number combines Vans Classics The Moc and the 106, successfully creating a silhouette which is very much its own.
As the celebrations to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Vans’ iconic Half Cab continues, the brand now collaborate with Metallica on the Kill ‘Em All Pro model. The collaboration also ties in with the 30th Anniversay of Metallica's classic album and it receives everyone's favourite colourway; black/black.
